These lenses are designed to encase the eye and cover the entire cornea. This type of eye lens can also be used for a cornea that has an irregular curvature.
Rigid gas permeable lenses are used for those who suffer from dry eye. The lenses allow oxygen to lass through them, so they don’t absorb as much moisture.
With Ortho-K or orthokeratology contact lenses, you get a specialty lens that can gently reshape the cornea. These types of lenses are worn overnight to reshape the cornea and need to be used regularly. If you suffer from conditions such as myopia, astigmatism, or hyperopia, you can use Ortho-k contact lenses.
